Conclusion
If you are ALL Platinum or Diamond, booking an executive room doesn’t make much sense at any brand other than Fairmont, where it is not included as a status benefit.
Accor’s page states that this Visa rate plan should be available for executive and higher rooms, but at least these two hotels in Shanghai had it only loaded for suites.
