Marriott has launched its final Bonvoy points sale of 2023, valid for purchases made through December 20, at a 40% bonus until November 8 and 30% after.
Typically, you can purchase up to 100,000 points in a calendar, but this limit has been increased to 150,000 for the duration of this promotion.
You can access this offer on Marriott’s website here.

Please note that the account receiving the points must have been open for at least 90 days or 30 days if you have engaged in some other activity.
Price:
Points are available at 0.89 cents each under this offer.
This is the lowest price at which Marriott has recently sold points. While they have occasionally offered 50% or 60% bonuses, such promotions have not been available in 2023.
Does Buying Points Make Sense?
Purchasing points can be advantageous, particularly if you redeem Marriott points for free night awards and take advantage of the fifth-night free promotion, which can result in significant savings. While Marriott has transitioned mainly to dynamic award pricing, there are still occasional opportunities for redemption—especially at higher-end properties—that make purchasing points more economical than paying cash rates.
Additionally, Marriott partners with numerous airlines, some of which do not sell miles directly but do allow conversions from Bonvoy at a 3:1 ratio. Plus, you receive a bonus of 5,000 miles when converting 60,000 points to 20,000 miles.
Points can also be purchased (up to an additional 100,000) through the award booking process:

Conclusion:
If you’ve been considering purchasing Marriott Bonvoy points in 2023, now would be the optimal time to do so. Ensure you have a plan to use them in a financially sensible manner.
