IHG Diamond Fast Track Offers Fall 2023 (Report Yours)

IHG has started to roll out various Fast Track offers that allow select IHG One Rewards members to fast-track their status to Diamond on stays through December 31, 2023.

Eligible members must consume 5, 10, or 15 nights to reach or maintain their Diamond status through the end of 2024. There is also a double-night offer (max 15 bonus nights).

Note that the eligible nights for all of these offers must be PAID. Award or Cash + Points nights are not eligible.

Note that the nights earned from the double night offer are all qualifying towards Milestone Rewards but won’t be for possible Rollover Nights.

IHG Diamond Status:

The main benefits of Diamond status are a 100% points bonus + breakfast for two.

Suite upgrade certificates and Annual Lounge Pass are Milestone Rewards starting at 20 nights.

Conclusion

IHG has had various instant and fast-track Diamond offers since the tier was “launched,” or rather renamed from Spire Elite in the Spring of 2022 when the program went through a refresh.

They just ended the practice that allowed you to extend Spire Elite and later Diamond by signing up or renewing the InterContinental Ambassador status (read more here).

But none of these loyalty programs want to lose top-tier elites because they know there will be a considerable drop in spending if that occurs.

This is why there are often various silent status extensions or fast tracks with a minimal number of nights, targeting those about to lose their tier.

Terms and conditions of the 15 nights offer:

The “Up to 15 Bonus Elite Night Credits” promotional offer (the “Offer”) provides you with an opportunity to earn one “Bonus Elite Night Credit” for each Offer-Qualifying Room Night stayed during the Offer Period, up to a maximum of fifteen (15) Bonus Elite Night Credits. For each “Bonus Elite Night Credit” you earn under the Offer, you will be credited with an additional Elite Qualifying Night for purposes of determining Elite membership status and Milestone Rewards earned under the IHG One Rewards programme in 2023. “Bonus Elite Night Credits” do not qualify as Rollover Nights or as Qualifying Nights for any other purpose or benefit under the IHG One Rewards programme. To participate in this Offer, you must be an IHG One Rewards member and must be invited to participate. After receiving an invitation, you must register your member number in advance in order to be eligible for the Offer. The “Offer Period” is from 12 October 2023, to 31 December 2023. A member can only register once. By registering for the Offer, a member is accepting these Terms and Conditions.

After registering, a member can earn up to a maximum of fifteen (15) Bonus Elite Night Credits under this Offer, as follows: one (1) Bonus Elite Night Credit will be awarded to the member’s IHG One Rewards account after each Offer-Qualifying Room Night stay during the Offer Period. For example, if a member has stays that result in a total of six (6) Offer-Qualifying Room Nights during the Offer Period, the member would earn six (6) Bonus Elite Night Credits. These Bonus Elite Night Credits are in addition to any base Elite Qualifying Nights the member earns for their stays. As a result, in the above example, in addition to the six (6) Bonus Elite Night Credits, the member would also be credited with six (6) base Elite Qualifying Nights, effectively giving the member credit for 12 Elite Qualifying Nights towards earning Elite status and Milestone Rewards in 2023. To be an “Offer-Qualifying Room Night” under this Offer, the room night must fall within the Offer Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay. As noted above, the “Offer Period” is from 12 October 2023, until 31 December 2023. Room nights outside of the Offer Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Offer also are not included.

For purposes of this Offer, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with a total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local equivalent) per night. Participating hotels include all IHG® Hotels & Resorts, with the exception of those Six Senses® Hotels Resorts Spas and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that do not participate in the IHG One Rewards programme. Stays booked using Reward Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Offer. Bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Offer. If more than one member who registered for the Offer checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to earn Bonus Elite Night Credits under this Offer based on those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, the member will only receive credit towards this Offer for only one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of an Offer-Qualifying Room Night.
