IHG launched earlier this week its Global Fall promotion (read more here), valid for stays consumed between October 12 – December 31, 2023.
We wrote yesterday that there is an additional bonus for cobranded cardholders (read more here), and IHG has now sent more information about this promotion.

The base promotion is 2,000 bonus points for every 2 nights (paid only – awards do not count) consumed during the promotional period.
Those with one of the three Chase and IHG cobranded credit cards are eligible for 4,000 bonus points for every 2 paid nights. You essentially earn 2,000 bonus points every night you consume instead of 1,000.
There is a theoretical cap of 160,000 bonus points under this offer, but it would require you to stay at IHG-affiliated hotels every night during the offer period.
Conclusion
IHG tries to reward those with Chase-affiliated credit cards a bit more for their stays through the end of the year. Unfortunately, unlike Marriott, their credit card is currently only available for those in the US.
I am still not sure why IHG didn’t send information about this cobranded card offer with its email blast earlier this week?

Cardmembers in the United States with an IHG One Rewards Credit Card from Chase who registered for the current IHG One Rewards “2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” promotion have been automatically registered for this additional promotional offer (the “Cardmember Offer”). Under this Cardmember Offer, an additional 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points will be awarded to qualifying cardmembers after the cardmember has completed two (2) qualifying room night stays. In tandem with the “2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” promotion (the “Promotion”), the cardmember will receive 4,000 total bonus points every 2 nights throughout the campaign period.
To be a qualifying room night under this Cardmember Offer, the room night must fall within the Promotion Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay paid for by the member using their IHG One Rewards credit card (which may be any one of the following cards: IHG One Rewards Premier credit card; IHG One Rewards Traveler credit card; IHG One Rewards Premier Business credit card; IHG One Rewards Select credit card; or IHG One Rewards Classic credit card). The “Promotion Period” is from October 12, 2023 through December 31, 2023. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Promotion also are not included. For purposes of the Promotion and this Cardmember Offer, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. For new Chase IHG One Rewards Credit Card accounts opened during the Promotion Period, please allow up to 6 weeks after the Promotion Period for bonus points to be credited. The additional bonus points cardmembers can earn from this Cardmember Offer are separate from points earned from credit card spend on IHG transactions. The bonus points cardmembers can earn from this Cardmember Offer are also in addition to the bonus points a cardmember can earn under the Promotion. For example, if a cardmember has 6 qualifying room night stays during the Promotion Period, the cardmember would be awarded 6,000 bonus points under the Promotion (2,000 point for every 2 qualifying room nights) and an additional 6,000 bonus points under the Cardmember Offer (2,000 bonus points for every 2 qualifying room nights), for a total of 12,000 bonus points. As a result, cardmembers qualifying for this Cardmember Offer have an opportunity to earn, over the entire Promotion Period, a maximum of 160,000 promotional bonus points if registered for the “2,000 Points Every 2 Nights” Promotion.
