There is now a new offer for those with any WSJ or affiliated company subscription, some of which are practically free, that offers a minimum of 20% discount at select IHG hotels through December 31, 2023.

Conclusion
The availability of this rate plan is good, and I like that it is not prepaid and that there are no fees to cancel if done a minimum of three days before the intended check-in.
To ensure eligibility, you can always subscribe to the WSJ (I do, by the way), and the paper (or the online access) is worth the money. The initial subscription is also relatively inexpensive.
