Choice Hotels yesterday announced that it had reached an agreement with Radisson to acquire its operations in the Americas (read more here). This leaves Radisson Hotels with its Radisson Rewards guest loyalty program for the rest of the world (former Rezidor).
Radisson Hotels has now sent out an email to its loyalty program members about the move and tries to reassure them that nothing will change in the short term.

Radisson Hotels and Radisson Rewards include 600 hotels in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and another 400 in the Asia Pacific. Radisson Hotels continues to be owned by a Chinese government-controlled entity.

Conclusion
Radisson Rewards made a splash in the early 2010s with the relaunch of its program with very lucrative loyalty offers that have been few and far between lately.
I hope they would spend some time and rejuvenate the guest loyalty program that is also run and doesn’t appear to be very important to the company.
