Best Western has brought back a rebate for each “Pay With Points” award consumed between April 3 – September 4, 2023, in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Best Western Rewards members must register for this offer and use a minimum of 5,000 points for each Pay with Points award to be eligible for the 2,000 points rebate.

Note that this offer does not apply for full points awards but only to those that allow members to mix cash and points.

Conclusion
I have not played around on Best Western’s website to see if these Pay with Points awards that mix points and cash make any sense. But at least you get some value out of them, even if you don’t have enough for a full award.
