The JW Marriott Nara, Japan, opened its doors right before the COVID upbreak in 2020. The hotel is located in the heart of Nara, just a short walk from many of the city’s most famous attractions, including Nara Park, Todaiji Temple, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
The hotel features 158 rooms and (including 16 suites), all of which are elegantly furnished and equipped with modern amenities, such as high-speed internet, flat-screen TVs, and luxurious bedding. The rooms also offer stunning views of the surrounding city and mountains. Inside, guests can see the influence of traditional Japanese design in the use of natural materials, such as wood and stone, as well as in the use of traditional Japanese motifs, such as the “Kikkou” hexagonal pattern that can be seen throughout the hotel.
Inspired by Nara’s beauty, our hotel rooms and suites offer serene spaces for relaxation. With rain showers in all rooms, indulge your mind and body with nourishing raindrops. After a busy day in Nara, your room’s comfortable Simmons bed offers a heavenly sleeping experience
Nice room, but kind of a stretch to call it a Junior Suite…but the Presidential Suite is rather small too for that room level too. Rooms in Japan tend to be small, but not so much on Western hotel chains.
For next month, rooms at this property start at about $320++ or 43,000 points per night. The Junior Suite is available for about 51,000 points, not a significant hike from their base room price.
